Parallel Agent Coordinator
Software componentOrchestrationOrchestration & Toolsarc:ParallelAgentCoordinator
A workflow orchestrator that runs multiple specialised agents concurrently over references to the same source context and passes their outputs to a downstream reviewer, instead of sequential handoffs that restate context.
Responsibility. Executes independent agent analyses concurrently on shared source context.
Also known as: Parallel agent orchestration, Parallel information gathering
Variant of Workflow Orchestrator abstract
When to choose. Choose when agents can analyse the same source information independently; reduces both tokens and latency.

Design guidance
- SHOULD run independent agents (e.g., Extractor and Validator) in parallel with references to the original document and have a reviewer (e.g., Analyzer) combine their outputs.
- SHOULD NOT spawn dependent agents concurrently and trust them to self-coordinate on data availability.
Quantitative guidance
As stated by the sources; verify before use.
- Parallel execution reduces multi-agent token usage/context duplication by 40-60% and lowers latency (Ch3.10).
- E-commerce support: tokens 6,800 to 2,100 per query (69%), API calls 8.5 to 3.2, latency 4.2 s to 1.8 s, accuracy held at 87% (Ch3.10 case study).
