Prompt Chain Orchestrator

Software componentOrchestrationOrchestration & Toolsarc:PromptChainOrchestrator

A workflow orchestrator that executes a fixed linear sequence of LLM calls in which each call's output becomes the next call's input.

Responsibility. Passes each stage's LLM output as input to the next stage in a predefined sequence.

Also known as: Prompt chain, Sequential LLM pipeline, Simple function composition, Prompt chaining

Variant of Workflow Orchestrator abstract

When to choose. Choose when a task decomposes into a fixed sequence of processing stages, each needing a different prompting strategy, with intermediate outputs inspected between stages; for simple linear workflows without branching, simple function composition suffices.
