Reasoning Path Quality Classifier
Software componentCognitionCognition & Memoryarc:ReasoningPathQualityClassifier
A lightweight classifier that scores each sampled reasoning path from 0 to 1 on coherence, faithfulness and task relevance, supplying vote weights and rationale rankings.
Responsibility. Scores the reasoning quality of each sampled path.
Also known as: RASC quality scorer, Rationale quality scorer

Design guidance
- SHOULD use lightweight coherence checks for medium-difficulty tiers and full coherence/faithfulness/relevance assessment only for hard tiers.
Quantitative guidance
As stated by the sources; verify before use.
- Adds roughly 5% inference tokens per sample (Ch5.3).
Classification
- Patterns
- Reasoning-Aware Self-Consistency (RASC)Lightweight coherence check (tier 2)
- Quality attributes
- Performance efficiency (ISO/IEC 25010)Explainability (NIST AI RMF: explainable and interpretable)
- Risks mitigated
- Equal weighting of flawed and rigorous reasoning paths
