A guardrail that filters retrieved chunks after semantic search and before LLM context injection, redacting protected fields, rejecting unapproved sources and enforcing claim-to-passage citation.
Responsibility. Prevents sensitive or untrusted retrieved content from reaching the LLM.

Design guidance
- SHOULD apply field-level redaction so permitted data is kept while protected fields are removed.
- SHOULD reject documents whose provenance is not on the approved-source allowlist even if semantically similar.
- SHOULD exclude, sanitise, or annotate retrieved content containing discriminatory language or biased framing.
