Design guidance
- SHOULD set the TTL to the source update cadence (e.g., 24h for a daily-updated paper index, 1h for weather forecasts).
Quantitative guidance
As stated by the sources; verify before use.
- ArXiv cache refreshed every 24 hours; weather forecasts cached with 1-hour TTL (Ch7.3).
- 5-minute entry validity for cached inventory results (Ch8.1).
