Software componentObservability & EvaluationObservability & Evaluationarc:CostReportingDashboard
A dashboard that renders organization-level token consumption and cost trends, model mix, cost per user and budget-versus-actual spending for budgeting, capacity planning and executive review.
Responsibility. Presents consolidated cost trends and unit economics for strategic budgeting decisions.
Also known as: Organization-level dashboard, Tier 3 token monitoring, Daily cost dashboard, Weekly cost review, Monthly cost analysis
Variant of Metrics Dashboard abstract
When to choose. Choose when the audience is budget owners or executives who need trend, model-mix, unit-economics and budget-versus-actual views rather than operational health panels.

Design guidance
- SHOULD display model mix, cost per user and budget versus actual alongside daily, weekly and monthly cost trends.
- SHOULD act as the entry point of a drill-down workflow: detect anomalies at organization level, localize them at feature level and diagnose root cause at request level.
- SHOULD be reviewed weekly against budget and prior period, including projected monthly cost and top cost drivers (Ref8.05).
Quantitative guidance
As stated by the sources; verify before use.
- Monthly cost $18,400 -> $24,100 -> $31,200 (30-35% monthly growth) extrapolates to ~$120,000/month by August (Ch8.3).
- Large-model share fell from 78% to 52% of requests as routing matured, holding cost growth to ~30%/month while request volume grew 45% (Ch8.3).
- Unit economics: $31,200 / 5,000 active users = $6.24 per user against an $8/month subscription, leaving $1.76 per user (Ch8.3).
- Weekly review example: $4,850 total, +8% vs budget (investigate), cost per request $0.0045, RAG queries 40% of cost (Ref8.05).
