Design guidance
- SHOULD define both a warning threshold and a hard-limit threshold.
- SHOULD be compared with actual spend on organization-level dashboards (budget versus actual).
Quantitative guidance
As stated by the sources; verify before use.
- Warn at 80% and hard-limit (reject requests) at 95% of the monthly budget (Ref8.05).
- Cost targets: development < $100/day, staging < $200/day, small production < $500/day, large production < $5,000/day (Ref8.09).
